WOOL BALLCAP HONORING THE 1943 DIABLOS ROJOS History: In 1943, Parque Delta became home to one of the finest teams in Mexican League history. The Diablos Rojos finished 53–25 to claim the league title behind manager Lázaro Salazar, while Hall of Fame shortstop Willie Wells brought his trademark smooth fielding and powerful bat to the heart of the lineup. Across the league, legends like Josh Gibson, Martín Dihigo, and Ray Dandridge were filling ballparks, making that summer in Mexico City one of the richest concentrations of baseball talent anywhere in the world.
