Pearl Harbor had come just months before Opening Day, and the PCL pushed on while rosters began to thin — players departing for military service as the summer wore on. The Angels, a Cubs affiliate playing at LA's Wrigley Field, finished just one game out of first place under manager Jigger Statz, their closest brush with a pennant in nearly a decade. They wouldn't get another chance until the war was over. Made from genuine wool broadcloth with our signature green satin underbrim, this hat is inspired by the on-field ballcap of the 1942 Los Angeles Angels, recast in a bottle green color.
