Description

THE EXACT 1947 “KC” LOGO WORN BY THE KANSAS CITY BLUES History: The Blues were a top Yankees affiliate in 1947 and the American Association pennant winner that year. Cliff Mapes led the league in RBIs, and Kansas City led the AA in attendance, with over 379,000 fans going through the turnstiles at Blues Stadium, later renamed Municipal Stadium. Rookie Mickie Mantle had a brief spell with the Blues that helped him find his major league form. This is an authentic reproduction of the original 1947 Kansas City Blues ballcap, hand-sewn from genuine wool baseball cloth and finished with embroidered lettering.
