Since the Middle Bronze Age, it has often been represented as a sea goat (a horned goat with the tail of a fish). This imagery is related to the Babylonian god of water, knowledge, mischief, and creation, Ea. In Greek mythology, this constellation is often identified with Amalthea, the goat who suckled Zeus as a baby. People born from December 22nd-January 19th are considered to have Capricorn as their ‘Sun sign’ - the part of an astrological chart that determines ego, identity, the character one plays in life. ‘Moon sign’ relates to the subconscious, intuition, inner world, and emotional self.
