Fehu Silver Rune Pendant

Description

An Elder Futhark Rune • 26mm x 15mm • Comes wrapped in a folded paper envelope sealed with a wax seal • Expert patina to highlight the engraving The first rune of the Elder Futhark alphabet, Fehu symbolizes a form of abundance and wealth, originally represented by sheep or cattle due to the bounty one could claim from material trade and access to a food source. It commonly characterizes both spiritual and material wealth. Historically, runes were carved with one chisel, one hammer, and a rock. The designs of the rune reflect the rune carving process and the limitations of the material. To keep with the historic stone-chiseled look, this design was engraved by Mintmaster Woody Maringer using traditional engraving tools.
