Bought this ice axe to use for the first time, and used it to safely ascend slippery snow, cross an icy ridge, downclimb a snowy cliff, and control a glissade. An essential tool for snow climbs, and could absolutely safe your life in the right circumstance. My only complaint is that i wish it came with a leash/wrist strap.
