Snow Saw Pro

The blade cuts cleanly and efficiently through firm snow, making it very useful for snowpit digging and snow layer analysis. It’s lightweight, packable, and easy to deploy in the field. A solid piece of gear for anyone doing backcountry travel or learning to study the snowpack.

Great snow saw that worked well for digging pits in form snow.

This is a decent saw for cutting CT test blocks, and guide cuts on ECT test blocks. In my opinion there is one major flaw: the mechanism to open, and close the saw continuously ices up when you use it. It’s fairly heavy for a snow saw as well.
