Description

WOOL ROAD JERSEY HONORING THE 1935 NEW YORK CUBANS History: The Cubans can trace their roots to two teams called the Cuban Stars (East and West). Owner Alex Pompez established his club in the Negro National League in 1935 and stocked it with an international assortment of mostly players from Cuba, the Dominican Republic, and Puerto Rico. Home games were often played at the Polo Grounds or Yankee Stadium. Standout players for the Cubans include Luis Tiant, Sr., Minnie Minoso, and the great Cuban star Martín Dihigo. Made with authentic wool baseball flannel with felt appliqué lettering, this is a reproduction of the road jersey worn by the 1935 New York Cubans.
