Rather than dyeing finished yarns a single flat color, grey cotton fibers in different tones are blended together at the fiber stage before spinning. This mixing of light and dark grey fibers is what creates the fabric’s heathered appearance, similar to classic mixed-grey sweatshirts. Because the color is achieved through fiber blending rather than surface dyeing, subtle tonal variations remain visible throughout the yarn and fabric.
