We’re all inspired by something. We introduced the original American Trench Coat in 2013. It was a true project, proving that exceptional outerwear can still be made in America. The goal was to preserve the skill, experience, and craftsmanship behind one of menswear’s most enduring garments. Over 15 years later, our mission remains the same. The American Trench Coat is made using 100% cotton Ventile®, an extraordinary weatherproof fabric developed for the British military and woven entirely from natural fibers. Rather than relying on synthetics, Ventile® creates its weather resistance through a dense weave that will not degrade over time. When fabric gets wet, the cotton fibers naturally expand, blocking out the elements while remaining breathable. Like the best garments, it improves with time.
