Playfully interpreted in a signature U&O block print that was inspired by traditional Athangudi tiles commonly seen in South India. Printed in the traditional kalamkari block printing technique using a combination of natural dyes. Kalamkari is a special block-printed cotton textile that refers to the ancient style of hand painting that was born out of the art of storytelling. Making Kalamkari fabric involves 23-steps including treating and preparing the fabric, preparing the dyes and finally hand printing with precision and care. The Samira tunic has soft gathers, billowy sleeves and versatile styling options. Style as you please – wear alone as a dress, layer over pants or wear open as a light outerwear piece.
