Description

An Elvish Moon of Rivendell This unique Elvish coin from Rivendell, or Imladris in Sindarin, is shaped like a crescent moon. It depicts the Rivendell valley, flanked by waterfalls, containing the ancient trees of silver and gold and the three Silmarils, represented as stars. This Rivendell™ Moon Wax Seal Coin from the world of J. R. R. Tolkien is struck from solid magnetic stainless steel, measures 3.17 cm in diameter, and weighs about 10 grams. Coin artwork by Dylan Craig, engraved by Woody Maringer. • Magnetic handle and glue are not included. • When using with hot glue, keep wax seal coin chilled in freezer to prevent sticking. • When using with authentic wax, keep wax seal coin at room temperature to prevent sticking. • Disclaimer: these Wax Seal Coins were created from steel dies that were intentionally designed to mimic the worn-down, much-loved appearance of an ancient coin that has seen the inside of many generations of pockets. To achieve this look, engravings have shallow profiles that make the design appear more subtle in the corresponding Wax Seal Coin.

Love the unusual shape (be sure to drip enough wax to get those points on the crescent). The no attachment thing I understand because then it’s like a coin, but almost requires you to get the $20 handle. I used a small strong magnet on the threaded end of a spare handle I had. The design is cool, but could be deeper—the impression it leaves is fine and detailed, but very light and hard to see…

Gave this to my daughter for Christmas. She loved it. Packaging was so cute that I didn't actually look at it till she opened it. Glad I ordered the handle to go with it.
