Description

AUTHENTIC WOOL BALLCAP HONORING THE 1934 PHILADELPHIA STARS History : In 1933, in the depths of the Great Depression, Ed Bolden returned to baseball with a new club: the Philadelphia Stars. He'd already built one champion from the ground up in the Hilldale Daisies, and he wasted no time doing it again. Within a year, the Stars joined the Negro National League and won the 1934 pennant in their very first professional season. Bolden ran the club until his death in 1950, building one of the city's proudest sports institutions out of pure conviction and grit. Made with genuine wool broadcloth and our signature green satin underbrim, this ballcap features an embroidered felt appliqué of the 1934 Philadelphia Stars logo in honor of the iconic Negro League ballclub.
