DESCRIPTION The Neil Shirt is an artful blend of two iconic traditions: Malda Silk Weaving and Kalamkari Block Prints. Originating from Bengal, Malda Silk is known for its smooth texture and lustrous sheen, handwoven on traditional pedal looms. It is paired here with the vibrant patterns of Kalamkari block printing from Machilipatnam in Andhra Pradesh. Crafted from handwoven low-twist Mulberry Malda Silk, this shirt offers luxurious comfort. The tile-pattern design, achieved through traditional Kalamkari block printing, features geometric shapes and motifs, rendered in an earthy colour palette derived from natural dyes. The silk feels incredibly soft against the skin, while the block-printed surface adds depth and character, making it a sophisticated choice for the modern wardrobe with a touch of heritage and history.
