The boots are comfortable right out of the box. There was very little breaking-in. A little stiff around the ankles to start but comfortable after a couple outings. I bought these hoping they would replace my 6" Dovers. They are are similar in some ways and different in others. They don't fit the same. The sole if thinner at the ball of the foot. The insole is still trash as always. The Nylon lace loops will eventually break. The Pot Metal speed hook will break early as well.

I bought my Keen boots about 15 years ago and consider them the best damn boots ever. I spend my summers cutting and trimming trees on the side of a mountain. The size is perfect and my feet don't slip inside them. I am now going back for my next pair. Thank you Keen for keeping me safe and making my work better.
