Description

Edo-period hanji-e (puzzle picture) of a frog whisking tea, by Utagawa Hiroshige II — not Matsumoto Hoji. From a kitchen-utensil rebus series; the visual pun plays on Japanese word associations around tea tools. Widely mislabeled as Hoji in modern poster listings.
