The Helio Tour is a 3-in-1, multi-functional glove system that covers all your bases on any cold-weather mission. The lightweight removable brushed softshell inner glove works well on its own in warm weather or on the skin track, but doubles as a liner in colder conditions. Next, the softshell outer glove with a soft goat leather palm and a touchscreen compatible thumb and fingertip provides weather protection on deep days. Finally, the Helio Tour has a weatherproof, insulated hood that stows sleekly on the inside of the wrist and can be deployed when winds pick up or the temps drop. The modular nature of the Helio Tour makes it ideal for overnight backcountry trips since it's easy to dry and is multifunctional.

They are not nearly as good (or as warm) as my Mountain Hardware gloves. The liners on the mountain hardware gloves are comparable to the Helio glove part. But the overmitt does NOT DETACH so you have this this, useless appendage attached that gets in the way of the gloves. And the combination of BD glove plus is not as warm as a proper pair of dedicated mittens. Just not worth the compromises.
