The brush is subpar - its got a decent sized separation in the middle of the bristles which makes applying the quite thick formula over the nail evenly a bit difficult. I probably would only use this when I need a mani to last longer than it would without the gel topcoat, and would not purchase again.

The Gel Shift is an excellent top coat. I love using it on nate nails for a more polished look yet "naked" look.
