Expedition Compactor

Description

A stowable z-pole design makes the Expedition Compactor ideal for splitboarders who prioritize efficiency in the backcountry. Flick Lock locking mechanisms make the length easy to fine-tune, and both a PH3 screwdriver bit and a 1.5mm hex bit are hidden in the shafts for field repairs in a pinch. Extended EVA foam grips, a straight-edge grip scraper, and a tactile rubber “beak” for quick binding adjustments on the skin track all contribute to the simple yet useful feature-set of the Expedition grips. Girth-hitched straps are easy to remove if you choose.

This was definitely user error, but I got the snow attachments cross threaded and it was a PAIN to fix. push down harder than you think necessary to get those suckers on.

I bought these for ski powered paragliding, with a skin in, ideally a flight down with the poles in a pack, and optionally with a ski down if the air doesn't cooperate. They break down nice and small. Less stiff than a 2 piece pole, but totally adequate for average back country skiing. Being able to adjust the cable tension on the fly is awesome.

Super easy to use and the color is even better in person. I’ve only been out with them a few times but I’m pretty rough with my gear and they held up !
