Description

AUTHENTIC WOOL BALLCAP HONORING THE 1949 DAIEI STARS History: The Daiei Stars were born in 1949 when Daiei Film purchased the postwar club formerly known as the Kinsei Stars. In their first season under the Daiei name, manager Sadayoshi Fujimoto guided the team to a 67–65–2 record and third place in the Japanese Baseball League. Outfielder Makoto Kozuru was the club’s standout, batting .361 to lead the league and earning Best Nine honors. The following year, the Stars became charter members of the newly formed Pacific League when Japanese professional baseball split into two leagues. Made from genuine wool broadcloth and finished with our signature green satin underbrim, this ballcap honors the 1949 Daiei Stars with a felt appliqué of their original logo.
