Compact Powder Baskets

The threads are looser than the baskets that came on my alpine z poles, so they spin around pretty freely. Still get the job done though

These baskets are pretty similar to the 3 Quarter Indexed baskets, without the indexing tab, of course. They function a little more like Nordic baskets if you've got them lined up correctly, so they create less drag. Frankly, that's only really noticeable on cat tracks or long, mild approaches and you've got decent skinning/skating technique. But if that's you, these are an inexpensive way to get …

Easy to install. And the design nearly eliminates the frustrating tendency to hook on things when I'm skiing through the trees. My previous BD baskets hooked things constantly, jerking me around, ripping the pole and sometimes my glove off my hand. These baskets don't seem to have that issue.
