Description

COIN OF LIFE AND DEATH Between the understanding of one’s own mortality and the recognition of life on Earth as a beautiful opportunity, there is a captivating and beautiful dichotomy in holding the concepts of Life and Death together. The macabre Latin Christian phrase of antiquity, “Memento mori”, acts as a succinct mantra in today’s modern world. “Remember that you have to die”, it states, prompting appreciation of life’s fleeting condition. Memento vivere (Latin: “Remember you have to live.”) supports the notion that life is to be celebrated. Have fun while you are here, and remember that life can start today. • 2.02" height x 1.04" width (5.13 cm x 2.64 cm)

Materials & Care
  • Material: Solid Copper coin
  • Blackened copper oxide patina sealed in wax (will wear and reveal raw copper with continued handling)
  • .095 ounces (27.2 grams)

Once you get some wear on it and the copper starts coming thru on the hi spots it’s gorgeous.

Excellent variants; I have both versions and love them. They go with me everywhere. The writing is universal.
