Gherig’s team was the Larrupin’ Lous, and Ruth’s the Bustin’ Babes. In each game, the Yankees teammates would take a spot in their own line-up and the rest of the team would be made up of local players, meaning every stop in the 20-city tour offered fans not just a chance to see the league’s biggest stars, but play alongside them. Made in the USA from cotton twill with a spalding patch on the sleeve and felt applique lettering, this jersey pays homage to the home jersey worn by the Bustin’ Babes back in 1927.
