'85 Diesel is an auto fragrance card, sold as a single card, that scents your car with saffron-tanned leather and old vinyl. It opens on saffron leather, suede and vinyl, the smell of a well-worn interior in the sun. The heart brings white violet, hiba wood and castoreum, powdery and animalic against lacquered chestnut paneling. The base settles into diesel smoke, earth and galbanum resin, with faint puffs of burning fuel. Smoky, leathery and a little reckless, this is a 1970s road trip in a car you probably should not be driving. From the New York fragrance house D.S. & Durga. Scent family: leather amber smoke.
